Yes! Not only are my cakes and cupcakes made fresh from scratch, but I also make them using my very own recipes. I am proud to say that I worked hard testing and tasting recipes to perfect each flavor.
I've always been picky when it comes to frosting. I'm not a fan of the super sweet buttercream where you can literally feel the sugar eating away at your teeth. Also, might find that bakers often use Crisco now that butter has gone up in price. (Shh here’s a secret - If it leaves a film in your mouth then it might be crisco.) My buttercream frostings are always made with 100% butter!
Not only do I offer American buttercream, but I also love Swiss Meringue buttercream which you might often find on wedding cakes. It's even less sweet than American and has a silky smooth texture. I like to use it on the outside of my cakes. You can learn more about the type of buttercreams by clicking here.
YES! This is part of the fun when making a custom cake for your special party or celebration. Don't hesitate to ask me for guidance. I know it can be overwhelming sometimes which is why I make myself available to help brainstorm, address any concerns and offer tips if that's what you are looking for!
Cake design inspirations will be considered but I do not duplicate other’s work. Part of the joy of ordering a custom cake is that you get a unique, one of a kind, exceptional cake that no one else has had or ever will have! Would you want your friend to get the exact same wedding cake or even dress? That would make things pretty awkward. Weird is good, but awkward is no fun… I suggest that you share any and all photos of cakes that you love and then let me work my magic! Like most people, I do my best when I'm not cornered with too many specifics!
7 days is the minimum required time needed depending on the size of your order. Please send me a note or text and we can discuss further. Rush fees may apply if orders are placed less than two weeks in advance.
Buttercream is meant to be enjoyed at room temperature but we all know how it can get HOT here in Arizona! American buttercream can sit out for up to two days according to the CDC. The sugar actually helps preserve the butter so you have no need to worry!
72 degrees is the optimal temperature for buttercream cakes. Keep your cake in the fridge until 1-2 hours before you plan to cut into it. If the temperature will be warmer then adjust your timing and take it out 1 hour or less. This will prevent the cake from melting or shifting. Just remember, if it's too hot for you then it's too hot for your cake!
I offer custom cake toppers made of thick card stock. I also have a local florist who I work with if you're interested in fresh flowers as a garnish. You can also purchase and ship directly to me any specific toppings that you might like to add. All of this will be discussed during the intake process. I also offer gold flakes, rice paper moldings, chocolates, luxury sprinkles, chocolate drip and more. Let's get creative and make your cake extra special!
Pickup will be a specific time that we discuss together. At the time of pickup, I will ask you to park on the street and make sure there's room on the floor of the passenger side (move your passenger seat as far back as possible). Go ahead and stay in your car with the AC on high!!! Blast it, baby! I will bring the cake out and set it carefully on the floor of your car.
As a friendly reminder, I can only allow orders to be picked up after 100% of the total cost has been paid.
Once the cake is in your possession then I am no longer liable for the condition of the cake. In order to ensure a successful transportation and care of the cake, I will send you a text with specific instructions based on the day's weather, time of your party, etc. I will help as much as I can but again, I am not responsible for it after I close your car door and the cake is in your care. Of course, I will always do my best to help you and make things right if something does happen so don't hesitate to text me!
Yes. A delivery fee of $30 within a 10 mile radius. An additional $3.50 per mile after 10 miles.
A deposit of 50% is required and greatly appreciated. Full payment must be made before pickup.
Deposits help in many ways - They allow me to purchase the ingredients, save the spot on my calendar for you, and minimize rescheduling requests and no shows. I put a lot of love into my cakes which means that I put a lot of time into them!
Deposits are non refundable.
I do my very best to take all precautionary steps to make sure your cake or cupcakes withstand the outside elements, transportation, etc. My single tiered cakes that have 4 or more layers will have dowels placed to help secure their position. All of my two tiered cakes will have multiple dowels to help prevent sliding and shifting between layers. You can feel confident that your cake will look just as amazing as it did when you picked it up as long as you follow my specific instructions.
Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Apple pay or cash.
Deposits are non refundable, but please reach out so we can talk. I understand things happen!
I do not offer any special diet requests at this time. Additionally, my kitchen is not nut free.
